Increase in the primary sector in November 2024
The primary sector (excluding agriculture and forestry) strengthened by 2.0%, in monthly variation, in November 2024, thanks to the performance recorded by the fishing sub-sector (+29.5% ).
On the other hand, notes the Directorate of Forecasting and Economic Studies which provides information in its latest publication “Monthly economic update @January 2025”, the livestock sub-sector contracted by 1.7%.
Over one year, the sector consolidated by 3.6%, in November 2024, in connection with the good performance of livestock farming (+8.3%), mitigated by the poor performance of fishing (-16.5 %).
