Ikea Aubonne: Dogs are no longer allowed in the store

If you used to take Médor to stroll through the shelves of Ikea in Aubonne, know that dogs are now asked to stay outside. Only small breeds that can fit in a bag or on their own blanket at the bottom of the cart are still allowed. And niches are available at the entrance.

Why such a decision? According to a saleswoman interviewed by Watson.ch, the store encountered too many problems with dogs peeing on the shelves. “It’s always the same: when there is one who marks his territory, all the others do it after him,” she explained. Also, someone was bitten. However, store management has not confirmed this, despite Watson’s requests.

Please note that not all Ikea stores apply the same regulations. Thus, according to its site, dogs on a leash, in a bag or in the shopping cart are still accepted in Vernier (GE). In Riddes (VS), we also let them enter on a leash or in a bag, but not in the cart.
