Verbalized in Vire Normandy (Calvados) for five traffic violationsa resident of Montsecret-Clairefougère (Orne) was sentenced this Wednesday January 8, 2025 by the Argentan court to a community service sentence and €270. He spoke in court about “lack of luck”.
No license, no insurance, no technical inspection…
It was during a road check in Vire that a motorist from Montsecret-Clairefougère was fined for five offenses.
The police will notice that'he was no longer allowed to drive, that an injunction to return his license had been notified to him following the loss of all his points, that the vehicle was not not insuredthat the change of ownership on the gray card and the technical inspection had not been carried out and that he was in violation of an immobilization measure.
This 49-year-old man speaks in court of “a lack of luck”, specifying that he absolutely had to go to a client.
Lack of respect for the law and the police
If he did not comply with the immobilization measure it is because, according to him, he had more than €25,000 worth of supplies inside.
I told them, face to face, that in any case, I would not leave my vehicle there, but that I would take it home.
“There is very little respect for the gendarmes and the law in this man who does as he pleases,” underlines the public prosecutor after recalling the repeat offense for driving despite an order to surrender his license.
In repression, he requested a sentence of 35 hours of community service to be carried out within a maximum period of 18 months or six months in prison in the event of non-execution in addition three fines of €100.
The court will partly follow the requisitions of the public prosecutor, nevertheless reducing the three fines to €90.
