It is a little known fact that the Swiss Red Cross is responsible by the Confederation for the recognition of numerous professional titles in the field of health (excluding doctors and other medical professions). For no less than one hundred and twenty-five years. The diplomas of 21 professions are reviewed by the institution, notably in the field of nursing, physiotherapy, midwives and male midwives, dietetics, occupational therapy, optometry and osteopathy.
However, new requirements await them from February 1, the date of the end of the deadline for compliance with the new federal law on health professions (2020). While drawing attention to the crucial importance of foreign workers in the national health system.
