Fratricide in Vaires-sur-Marne: the eldest, 23, sentenced to two years in prison for manslaughter
Allan (first names have been changed) was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended on probation, for reckless manslaughter, for killing his 20-year-old brother, pierced by a knife in the chest, on February 12, 2022, in Vaires-sur-Marne. The Assize Court of Seine-et-Marne, in Melun, therefore acquitted him of “violence with use or threat of a weapon resulting in death without intention of causing it”.
A crime for which the attorney general, Emeline Masia, had requested six years in prison and three years of socio-judicial supervision. Requisitions implying incarceration of the accused, never imprisoned in the past. “We are not dealing with a cold-blooded act or a premeditated act. And we’re not dealing with an accident either,” she said.
