A house goes up in flames in a fire in Labathude, in the Lot

This fire broke out early in the afternoon on Monday. Its cause is not yet known.
Around 2:30 p.m. this Monday, the Lot firefighters were alerted of a fire which broke out in a home located in the town of Labathude, at a place called Moulin Janot. When they arrived, this 150 m² house was completely engulfed in flames. She could not be saved.
No injuries, owner relocated
Fortunately, this fire caused no injuries. Its owner was rehoused.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown. The police noted the presence of a wood stove inside but were unable to determine whether this could be linked to the fire. An investigation is underway.
The operation mobilized seven SDIS 46 rescue centers, including around thirty firefighters.
