A farmer from Calanhel, farming with his wife and son, died on Sunday January 12, 2025, around 9 p.m., in a terrible accident, in the village of Kerhuel. Aged 52, the latter fell into an agricultural machine. This is confirmed by Cyril Jobic, the mayor of Calanhel, present on the scene after the tragedy as well as the firefighters and the police.
While working on his farm, Éric Bourdonnec lost his life when he fell into a mixer. It was his wife Nathalie, who did not see him return and having tried several times to contact him on his cell phone, who discovered the tragedy, explains the mayor.
The vows ceremony canceled
The farmer's wife, Nathalie Bourdonnec, is elected to the Côtes-d'Armor Chamber of Agriculture and municipal councilor in Calanhel. Jean-Paul Prigent, mayor of La Chapelle Neuve and family friend, was also present at the scene of the tragedy. In view of the dramatic circumstances, Cyril Jobic, mayor of Calanhel, announced that the greeting ceremony, scheduled for this Saturday, January 18, is canceled.
