The attic of the Chaindon Temple was not teeming with bats on Saturday. Taking advantage of the hibernation of these creatures, a horde of volunteers had taken over the place. Under the framework of the Reconvilier place of worship and on the steps of the cramped wooden stairs, human chains were formed to assemble boards and remove pieces of aging insulation. Aim of the operations: to redo the attic floor of the building which is falling into ruin, for an amount of around 30,000 francs. financed by the parish, the Chauves-souris Jura bernois association (CSJB), a cantonal subsidy and various donations.

Avoiding deaths
