Trainees will also benefit from outdoor spaces dedicated to paramilitary and sports training, as well as a courtyard for official ceremonies. This equipment makes it possible to meet the needs of future peacekeepers in the best possible conditions.
The Director General of the DGSN and the DGST, Abdellatif Hammouchi, visited the school this Saturday to inspect the final preparations before welcoming the first class of trainees. Accompanied by several officials, he stressed the importance of aligning training programs with the new philosophy of security action.
This school is much more than a training structure, it embodies the DGSN’s commitment to a modern, efficient security system that is close to citizens. It also illustrates a desire to respond to current security challenges through quality training and adapted infrastructure.
-Since 2016, the DGSN has been engaged in a global project to reform the security function. This reform is based on the review of recruitment and training methods, the creation of new specialized schools, and the decentralization of infrastructures to bring them closer to the regions. Among the schools already operational are those of Kénitra, Laâyoune, Fez, Oujda, Tangier, Bouknadel, and now Marrakech.
With this in mind, the Royal Police Institute (IRP) in Kenitra and the future Higher Police Training Center in Ifrane, called to become a regional center for security cooperation, are fully part of this dynamic.
