Coupe de (round of 16). AS Rezé (N1) – HB (federal N1): 52-39

The Morbihannais exit in the 3rd round of the Coupe de France after their 52-39 defeat at Rezé at the end of a match that Lukas Buchta’s team did not consider essential. Indeed, the Coupe de France was not a priority objective and this was seen in the suburbs of . Fauvet and his teammates started this match in a committed manner but soon technical inadequacies and a limited rotation (only ten players had made the trip) allowed the locals to widen a gap in the middle of the first period (16-9, 18′ ). The entry of Litoust brought a little size to the seven-meter line and Grenier, with quick transitions, brought his team back to 18-16 (22′). But the Breton defense cracked and Rezé took off again to lead 25-18 at the break.

27 goals taken after the break

At the restart, the Bretons exploded and conceded a 7-4 which pushed the LHB back ten lengths (32-22, 36′). The Lanesterians were no longer there, like Lefebvre’s half-hearted pass for Dumitrache, which was intercepted without causing any reaction. The Breton collective no longer responded and the end of the match was a festival of goals to the detriment of the defenses. Richeton may have lit up from afar, but the LHB let the match unfold. Lukas Buchta’s team conceded 27 goals in the second half and lost 52-39. The Coupe de France was really not a goal for the LHB which had to wait a month before the resumption of the championship.
