Inspector General of Police Mame Seydou Ndour, Director General of the National Police and his delegation were received at the Banjul Palace by His Excellency Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia.
On the occasion, they were accompanied by IGP Seedy Mukhtar Touray, members of the Gambia Police Directorate team and other senior police officers. Also present were the Minister of the Interior, Abdoulie Sanyang, the National Security Advisor, Abubakr Sulayman Jeng, and the Special Advisor to the President, Momodou Sabally.
In this capacity, Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray, Director General of the Gambia National Police introduced his Senegalese counterpart to H. President Barrow, informing him of the successful engagements that took place during the visit. He stressed the importance of continued collaboration between the two police forces.
In turn, the DGPN expressed the honor of having met President Barrow and extended warm greetings from the President of Senegal, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye D. Faye, and the people of Senegal, highlighting the long-standing friendship shared by both nations.
-Continuing, President Barrow welcomed the fruitful discussions that took place during the visit, emphasizing the need for enhanced cooperation in the fight against crime, irregular migration. He noted the cultural and historical ties between The Gambia and Senegal, stressing that enhanced security collaboration will further consolidate peace and stability in both countries.
