“The opposition has the right to criticize, but rightly so”!
In the same vein, Mr. Aujjar noted the government’s readiness to respond to citizens’ expectations, highlighting the progress made in the sectors of education and social coverage. And he added that we must remain realistic since no one has “a magic wand, and therefore major reforms cannot be carried out overnight”.
While recalling that the opposition has the right to express its criticism, Mr. Aujjar deplored the sometimes “excessive” tone adopted by certain opponents. “When we make excessive use of criticism, we sow despair,” he warned, calling for a more constructive debate based on recognition of the efforts already accomplished.
The RNI confident despite criticism
But despite everything, the RNI remains confident, he said, highlighting the party’s victories in all the by-elections in which it participated, which according to him reflects popular support for the reforms undertaken. “The citizen is aware of the efforts made by the government: social assistance, pioneering schools, development of highways… But there also exists a category which amplifies the difficulties, driven by narrow calculations,” he explained .
“An increasingly weakened middle class”
The member of the RNI political bureau gave a positive assessment of government action, specifying that the Executive respected its commitments, particularly in the crucial areas of health, education, social dialogue and investment. . However, he recognized the significant impact of inflation, particularly on an “increasingly weakened middle class”. He called for concerted actions to fight against “crisis merchants”, these opportunistic economic actors who, according to him, exacerbate social difficulties to increase their profits. With this in mind, he urged the Ministry of the Interior, employers and decision-makers to take concrete measures to alleviate pressure on household stock markets.
