A total of 838 projects, with a total value of 395.10 million dirhams (MDH), were implemented in the province of Chichaoua as part of the third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH ), covering the period 2019-2024. According to data from the Social Action Division (DAS) of the Chichaoua prefecture, the INDH contributed MAD 370.94 million to these projects.
The first program, focused on making up for deficits in infrastructure and basic social servicessaw the completion of 81 projects for an amount of MAD 71.34 million, entirely financed by the INDH.
These initiatives have enabled significant progress in several sectors:
- Roads and tracks : construction and rehabilitation of 12.92 km.
- Electrification : connection of 23 schools to the electricity network and solar energy.
- Drinking water supply : 1,100 beneficiary households.
- Health : 225,468 beneficiaries.
- Education : 2,757 beneficiaries.
Support for people in precarious situations
As part of the program dedicated tosupport for people in precarious situations34 projects were carried out and 35 actions carried out, mobilizing a budget of 35.2 MDH, entirely supported by the INDH.
These initiatives benefited 7,602 people, notably people on hemodialysis without resources, who absorbed 46.98% of the overall budget. Furthermore, 74% of the envelope was devoted to improving care services.
Economic inclusion of young people
The program of theimproving income and economic inclusion of young people enabled the completion of 318 projects for a total cost of MAD 37.55 million, entirely financed by the INDH.
-In total, 548 people benefited from these initiatives, with the creation of 183 businesses as part of the entrepreneurship axis and the financing of 72 projects in the income improvement axis.
Boost of human capital from rising generations
The program aimed atboosting the human capital of rising generations mobilized an investment of MAD 226.85 million for the implementation of 405 projects and 139 actions. These initiatives affected 416,687 beneficiaries and concern:
- Maternal and child health : 44 projects for 15.28 million dirhams, with the validation of four community health systems.
- Preschool education : creation of 270 units in rural areas, for an investment of 110.62 million dirhams.
- Academic support : 230 projects and actions, mobilizing MAD 100.95 million.
These achievements demonstrate the INDH’s commitment to reducing social disparities and promoting inclusive development in the province of Chichaoua.
