The Vienne prefecture recommends, in a press release, this Thursday, January 9, to the population of several municipalities in this same department not to consume drinking water.for power uses“.
Water analyzes were recently carried out and demonstrated “a deterioration in the quality of drinking water“, according to the prefecture, following recent bad weather. It is advisable to use bottled water or, failing that, boil tap water for five minutes before using it.
It is also recommended to use tap water only for domestic purposes such as washing dishes, laundry or even washing. Still according to the prefecture, “new analyzes will be carried out regularly in order to monitor changes in water quality.”
