Smurfit Westrock, world leader in sustainable packaging, opened its brand new Experience Center in Rabat on Thursday January 9, the first of its kind on the African continent.
“This landmark event not only highlights the company’s leadership and expertise in sustainable packaging solutions, but also reaffirms its commitment to driving innovation in Morocco’s packaging industry », indicates one of the world’s leading providers of paper-based packaging solutions, with approximately 100,000 employees in 40 countries. this new Experience Center is equipped with advanced and exclusive design tools leveraging big data, predictive analysis, AI, virtual reality experiences, as well as the latest packaging technologies.
It is part of a global network of 30 interconnected centers with a team of more than 1,600 designers around the world. “It’s a platform where our customers can discover unique solutions that redefine packaging, helping them improve their value across the entire supply chain and differentiate themselves in the marketplace”explained Ignacio Sevillano, CEO of Smurfit Westrock Spain, Portugal and Morocco
This inauguration took place in the presence of Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, James McIntyre, Ambassador of Ireland to Morocco, as well as key managers of Smurfit Westrock: Ignacio Sevillano, CEO of Smurfit

The manufacturer has also launched a new production line integrating high-quality printing technology. This investment, which exceeds 50 million DH, will significantly increase production capacity to meet constantly growing market demand, underlines the group.
