In a twist, Algeria refuses the Montpellier influencer expelled for his violent comments on TikTok, he returns to France

FREE MIDI INFO. New twist in the affair of the influencer “Doualemn”, a 59-year-old Algerian based in . Expelled from this Thursday afternoon, he is on the plane returning from Algiers after the Algerian authorities refused to welcome him.

The affair of the Algerian influencer based in Montpellier “Doualemn” experiences a twist this Thursday, January 9 in the evening which will not fail to complicate the already tense relations between France and Algeria.

Because according to our information, this 59-year-old man was expelled this Thursday: from the administrative detention center in Nîmes, he was sent to his country of origin, Algeria.

But at the airport, authorities refused him access, even though he had a valid biometric passport. He was asked to take a plane in which he was due to land in around 10 p.m.…

According to our information, he must immediately be taken, again, to an administrative detention center in Paris.

The case began last Saturday, when the mayor of Montpellier and the prefect of Hérault reported to the prosecutor about the videos of this influencer, with 183,000 TikTok subscribers: in one of them, he attacked an individual, inciting violence against this person, opposing the power in place in Algiers.

The Montpellier public prosecutor contacted the judicial police who took into custody this maintenance worker in the sports halls, who had a criminal record, notably for drug cases.

He is due to be tried on February 24

The prosecutor decided to prosecute him for “provocation to commit a crime or misdemeanor”. He was to be judged on February 24 but in the meantime, the Ministry of the Interior issued orders withdrawing his residence permit and thus rendering him in an irregular situation, hence the express expulsion.

His lawyers had filed appeals which must be examined by the Paris administrative court by Saturday.

“I confirm to you that he is on his way back to France and that we will request the cancellation of this expulsion” reacts Me Mousset, his lawyer.
