The twists and turns are multiplying in the context of Algerian influencers recently arrested in France for hateful videos published on the social network Tiktok. One of them, named Doualemn, arrested on Sunday January 5 in Montpellier, was expelled from France to his country of origin this Thursday January 9 after the Ministry of the Interior decided to withdraw his residence permit .

Problem, according to information from Midi Libre, access to Algeria was refused. At the airport, the 59-year-old man was asked to take a plane back to Paris on which he would be at the end of the evening. “I confirm to you that he is on his way back to France and that we will request the cancellation of this expulsion,” commented Me Mousset, his lawyer, to our colleagues.

Doualemn is at the heart of a legal case following videos published on Tiktok. Saturday January 4, the mayor of Montpellier, Michaël Delafosse (PS), and the prefect of Hérault, François-Xavier Lauch, reported one of his publications to the courts. On it, the influencer residing in Montpellier called for violence against an Algerian anti-regime demonstrator. “Kill him, let him suffer,” he said. A video described as “intolerable” by François-Xavier Lauch.
