An envelope of 581 billion dirhams is allocated to the rehabilitation of under-equipped neighborhoods and towns in Tangier and its region, reports Telquel magazine. This project aims to reduce social and territorial disparities and improve urban infrastructure and the living conditions of residents in accordance with the high royal directives in favor of inclusive regional development.
The Minister of National Planning, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, supervised the different stages of this program, stressing that it reflects a national strategy aimed at equitable access to infrastructure and meeting the specific needs of the populations. Although Tangier is recognized as an economic engine thanks to its port and industrial activities, it still presents marked disparities between modernized neighborhoods and marginalized areas.
