-Initially, the Tangier authorities extended the installation of new generation traffic lights on approximately 34 road crossings and 17 pedestrian crossings.
Dozens of cameras will then be installed to manage traffic intelligently from the headquarters of the Tangier police headquarters. According to our information, these cameras, which operate with “WiMAX” technology, are connected to wireless networks at the intersection of roads with the central axis.
They electronically record traffic violations without human intervention. The information is transmitted directly to the control room. They are also equipped with smart traffic light cut-off technology that works with artificial intelligence, improving traffic flow.
