Fourteen municipalities in Savoie winners of the “Villages of the Future” program

This is good news for these 14 municipalities in Savoie. Announced in 2023 as part of the France Ruralités plan, the program Villages of the future is officially launched in January 2025.

“The program aims to make the daily lives of elected officials easier by supporting them throughout their projects over a period of 12 to 18 months, by defining their needs and directing them towards the systems and assistance available, whether they come from the State or other financing partners”, specifies the state.

Which villages are chosen?

Here is the list of winners:

• Beaufort
• Bozel
• Chanaz
• La Bridoire
• La Léchère
• Lépin-le-Lac
• Deserts
• Le Montcel
• Saint-François-de-Sales
• Pralognan-la-Vanoise
• Queige
• Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne
• Val-Cenis
• Val-d’Arc

For example, at Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne, the objective is to manage the redevelopment of the town center. HAS Chanaz is the development of the leisure centers. Finally, at La Bridoire, we are talking about the energy renovation of a building.

In total, more than 2,000 municipalities have benefited from the program, which will allow them to carry out certain developments.
