Pascal Bataille announced on December 6 that he had lung cancer in a video posted on Instagram. “This fight, I am sure that I will win,” said the emblematic host of “Only the truth that counts”, 64 years old.
Guest of the show “Chez Jordan” on C8, Monday January 6, he once again demonstrated his courage and determination in the face of illness but also humor, which helped him overcome this ordeal. .
“I have an ex-wife who is wonderful and my best friend. She herself experienced cancer a few years ago. It’s a bit of a double whammy for children with two parents who were victims of cancer five years apart,” noted the man who is experiencing the first effects of chemotherapy.
“I lost all my hair that wasn’t white, that’s why I bleached a lot,” reveals the 64-year-old host, before mischievously clarifying: “In fact, white hair is left, they’re the toughest ones, the bastards.” However, there is no question of resorting to artifice. “I don’t want wigs,” he says. I don’t want to cheat, I shaved as much as possible and I’m keeping what’s left while it lasts.”
Pascal Bataille also revealed that he was going to undergo a surgical operation which “consists of removing a piece of lung, in this case the right lung. The surgeon will see by opening exactly, but a priori, they will remove two lobes of my right lung. “I will therefore have a small part of my lung left which will continue to function,” he explains.
