The National Investment Commission has approved a total of 171 projects, including 53 financed by foreign investments from 18 countries, for a total amount estimated at around 94 billion dirhams (MMDH), indicated Tuesday in Rabat, the Minister Delegate in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of public policies, Karim Zidane.

In response to an oral question in the House of Advisors, Zidane assured that these projects, approved since the entry into force of the new Investment Charter, will contribute to the creation of more than 54,000 jobs.

The minister also highlighted the government’s action plan aimed at promoting investment, focused on mobilizing private investments, whether national, foreign or from Moroccans around the world, through reform. of State investment policy and the adoption of an incentive charter for all types of investments, national and foreign.

He recalled that a strategic roadmap has been put in place in order to improve the business climate, in partnership with all the stakeholders concerned, to define the projects to be undertaken during the period 2023-2026, via 46 initiatives capable of facilitating the act of investing and overcoming the obstacles encountered by investors.

In this sense, Zidane stressed that 83% of these initiatives were launched at the end of 2024, in addition to the organization of international tours to publicize the Moroccan offer in terms of investment and exchange with leading companies, in with a view to attracting strategic projects capable of creating promising economic ecosystems, like the “electric mobility” sector.

Furthermore, the minister affirmed that the ministry’s action plan aimed at increasing investments by Moroccans around the world revolves around strengthening communication with this community by all means available to make them aware of investment opportunities. and the organization of meetings during each promotional tour. It is also about consolidating reception, guidance and support structures at national and regional level.

In addition, he maintained, the ministry’s action is based on the establishment of a specific platform integrating artificial intelligence technologies, in order to provide all information relating to the investment and to translate it in the languages ​​of the countries of residence, adding that a special unit for monitoring the investments of Moroccans around the world has been created within the ministry.
