She is the only one in Haute-Loire to use this system. Martine Mounier has been running her farm for years in Lapte. At Brus de Verne, the farmer raises her pigs and processes them (meat or charcuterie). But in recent years she has been able to diversify her activity. After seeing a television report about farmers storing packages for consumers, she inquired about doing the same. A year later, the project was implemented on his farm.
An exchange of good practices
“After having developed the activity in the North, the Agrikolis company contacted me again to do the same in our region, and in particular in Haute-Loire. I have been offering this service for three years now,” calculates Martine Mounier. The principle is simple: when a customer orders a large package, they can have it delivered to Laptoise. The latter thus receives several pallets of deliveries every weekend by semi-trailer which it unloads and stores, taking advantage of the space available in a shed on its farm. “We really recover from everything. It goes from tiling, to a steel tray, to a log melter, but it's generally a lot of household appliances because it's the most bulky. »
The recipient can come and collect their package every evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., during the week but also on weekends. “It’s an exchange of good processes, it allows me to see a different clientele who may be interested in my products. »
“I have people who come from Saint-Étienne and even Ardèche”
By being the only one in Haute-Loire to offer this service, it attracts customers from all over the department. “I have people who come from Saint-Étienne, Monistrol-sur-Loire, Puy-en-Velay, Firminy and some from Ardèche. »
In addition to the additional income generated, it is this side of service and exchange that attracted Martine Mounier: joining the Agrikolis network allows the farmer to see people, vary her activity and talk about her work to potential new customers. for its sales which it organizes every 15 days.
