At a time when the crisis extends to all areas, the HLM world must face increasingly aggressive behavior on the part of its tenants.
“People in precarious situations feel socially abandoned with an increase in delinquency in certain neighborhoods”observes with regret Pierre-Yves Antras, general manager of Haute-Savoie Habitat (€142 million turnover, 303 employees).
Promote peace at work and within yourself
So to protect itself and find solutions, the department's leading social landlord has been working for two years to regenerate the reception areas of its agencies (with a pilot site in Ville-La-Grand) “to promote peaceful relations and also improve the occupational health of our employees who are under pressure”. Even welcoming employee dogs within its walls, because it is scientifically proven that their presence reduces stress.
As a liberated company (see read the work by Pierre-Yves Antras “Liberate your business”), Haute-Savoie Habitat intends to restore trust, the basic concept of this management method. Hence the need to support employees, to listen to them, when it is most difficult for them. “Bringing peace to work and within yourself to no longer be stressed is fundamental” he said.
For Pierre-Yves Antras, “the important thing is the posture of the business leader and how he trains people to make informed decisions, because that is how we progress”.
