The Palestinian Minister of Waqf and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Mohamed Mustapha Najm, praised, Monday in Ramallah, the leading role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the resilience of the people Palestinian and the protection of the sacred places of Islam, in particular the Al Aqsa Mosque.
During a meeting with the Moroccan ambassador to Palestine, Abderrahim Meziane, the Palestinian minister praised the constant positions of the Kingdom of Morocco in the defense of Al-Quds and in support of the resilience of its populations, reports the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
This meeting was an opportunity to examine ways to strengthen religious cooperation between the two countries, to address various issues of common interest and to implement the cooperation memorandum signed between the two parties.
This memorandum provides for the exchange of expertise in the management of mosques and Koranic schools, and the development of media programs for religious awareness, as well as plans for the management of preaching and guidance.
On this occasion, the Palestinian minister stressed that the strengthening of religious cooperation with the Kingdom of Morocco reflects the depth of fraternity relations between the two countries, noting that the exchange of expertise and experiences with the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs will have a positive impact on the development of Palestinian ministry programs as well as the administration of Habous and religious and educational projects.
For his part, Mr. Meziane assured that cooperation with the State of Palestine occupies a prominent place in the priorities of the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The Kingdom of Morocco, he continued, will spare no effort to provide continued support to Palestinian institutions, particularly in the areas of religious education and management of Habous.
