Orange alert for snow/ice – News – State actions

As part of the #Orange alert for #snow #ice, the prefect of the Northern defense and security zone and the prefect of Oise have decided on the following traffic restrictions:

• On motorways and national roads, from January 4 at 7:00 p.m. until January 5 at 6:00 a.m.:

– lowering the speed from 130 to 110 km/h and from 110 to 90 km/h, for vehicles whose total authorized weight (GVW) is less than 3.5 tonnes;

– ban on overtaking maneuvers and speed limit of 80 km/h for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) greater than 3.5 tonnes.

• In addition, on other roads in the Oise departmental road network, the following measures apply from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.:

– speed limit of 80 km/h for all vehicles (subject to more severe local restrictions),

– ban on overtaking maneuvers for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) greater than 3.5 tonnes

– traffic ban for the transport of beets whose total authorized weight (GVW) is greater than 3.5 tonnes.

Thank you for facilitating the passage of salting-sanding machines on roads and highways. As a reminder, it is prohibited to overtake a salting-sandblasting machine during an operation under penalty of a fine of 135 euros.
