Enough to send shivers down your spine. In its daily bulletin, Météo-France announced Saturday January 4 that 30 departments have been placed on orange alert for snow and ice. In the morning, negative temperatures were observed in several departments as reported by BFMTV.
Météo Franc-Comtoise recorded temperatures during the night from Friday to Saturday. “In accordance with today's forecasts, it is in Haut-Jura and Haut-Doubs that temperatures reached completely Siberian values… Very often, the coldest since February 2013,” indicated the meteorological service.

It was in the Jura that the lowest temperature was observed. “A minimum of -33.9°C was measured by the Localsat group” at La Combe Noire in Mignovillard. In the neighboring department of Doubs, temperatures fell to -28.1°C overnight.
The weather is much milder in Gironde. In Bordeaux, temperatures were recorded at 13°C at 8 a.m. At the same time, the contrast with the Doubs department is striking: -19°C in Mouthe and -23.4°C in Pierrefontaine-les-Varans, almost 30 degrees difference.
