Every year, theNational Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee) reveals the figures linked todemographic change. At the end of December 2024, the Institute revealed the legal population of the different French municipalities as of 1is January 2022.
With its 776 103 inhabitants, Morbihan is the third Breton department. If the most populated municipality remains Lorient with his 58,202 administered au 1is January 2025, which ones have the fewest residents?
What is the least populated commune in Morbihan?
In the Morbihanfour municipalities have less than 200 inhabitants on 1is January 2025. If Brignac et Sainte-Brigitte are close to 200 inhabitants with respectively 198 and 178 inhabitants, two municipalities do not exceed the threshold of 120 administered.
The figures communicated by INSEE at the end of December 2024 allow us to know the top 10 least populated Morbihan municipalities:
- Hoedic : 103 habitants
- Tréhorenteuc: 112 inhabitants
- Sainte-Brigitte: 178 inhabitants
- Brignac: 198 inhabitants
- Saint-Léry: 205 inhabitants
- Evriguet: 210 inhabitants
- Houat Island: 214 inhabitants
- Lantillac : 219 habitants
- Saint-Brieuc-de-Mauron: 294 inhabitants
- La Grée-Saint-Laurent: 310 inhabitants
Among the least populated Morbihan municipalities, that of Saint-Brieuc-de-Mauron is the one which lost the most inhabitants between 2016 and 2022 (- 47 inhabitants).
