Friday January 3, 2025, a little before 8 p.m., the firefighters intervened for an accident on the Blue Route (RD 213) near Montoir-de-Bretagne “following a wrong flow”, indicates Sdis 44 (Departmental Emergency Service). -Atlantique fire and rescue).

19 firefighters mobilized

Three cars were involved in this collision which occurred in the Saint-Nazaire / Saint-Brevin direction, just before the bridge. The report shows three victims.

The motorist who was driving in the wrong direction was transported to Saint-Nazaire hospital in an absolute emergency. He did not survive his injuries. He was 50 years old.

A 55-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, “in relative emergency”, were also taken to the health center.

Traffic was cut off during the intervention, causing major traffic jams. Intervention which mobilized 19 firefighters and eight of their vehicles.
