Study of 4,400 people from countries including Germany, UK, France, US and Japan reveals Spain has a good reputation globally . With an average rating of 7.1 out of 10, the country is particularly attractive for its dynamic tourism sector and its renowned gastronomy.
Respondents spontaneously associate Spain with iconic elements such as the sun, bullfights, football and flamenco. In Morocco, the Islamic heritage and the influence of Al-Andalus are also discussed.

The study highlights a significant decline in the association between Spain and the economic crisis. Likewise, corruption, a sensitive subject at the national level, seems to have a limited impact on the perception of the country abroad. 73% of respondents consider Spain to be an honest country, compared to only 22% who associate it with corruption.
-Morocco stands out by displaying the most negative opinion of Spain. More than 30% of Moroccans surveyed describe it as “conflicted”, “selfish” and “intolerant”, while almost 25% of them say that Spain “does not inspire confidence”.
