The family of Jean-Marie B. raised the alarm on Sunday, worried about having no news from the septuagenarian. The gendarmerie quickly organized searches over a vast area “between Saint-Août/Saint-Chartier/La Châtre and Châteaumeillant”, they specified. And in addition to patrols from the Indre and Cher gendarmerie, “four crews from the Indre Civil Protection, as well as farmers and hunters” set out to search for the missing person.

“Uninterrupted” searches according to the gendarmes, who nevertheless yielded nothing until Wednesday. And it was finally at the beginning of the afternoon that Jean-Marie B.'s vehicle was located by “three walkers of Belgian nationality traveling on bicycles”.
