Nightmare night for a couple from Neuilly. During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a couple was the victim of a violent home-jacking after which a Fiat Panda car and various jewelry were stolen.
According to our information, the victims, surprised in their sleep around 1 a.m., did not hear the criminal(s) break into their accommodation, an apartment in a comfortable residence located on the banks of the Seine, just in facing the island of La Jatte. A residence that the perpetrator(s) of this home-jacking did not hesitate to climb up to the 2nd floor.
According to initial findings, the latter passed through the kitchen window, which they managed to open, before slipping noiselessly inside the accommodation. They then woke up, hit and threatened the occupants – notably the husband, who was hit in the face with a gun butt – before tying their wrists with Serflex and hiding their faces with pillows.
The apartment was then searched by the thug(s) who left with the keys to the little city car as well as jewelry, the total value of which remains to be estimated. Emergency services were alerted by a neighbor who, after a few minutes, heard the woman calling for help. The firefighters then managed to open the door to the apartment where they took care of the husband, injured in the face, and his wife, unharmed but in a state of shock. The investigations were entrusted to the Hauts-de-Seine territorial security police officers.
