A few weeks ago, the Italian company Trenitalia announced that from June 2025, some of its trains will serve Marseille from Paris.
Good news for the rail network in France: Trenitaliathe Italian train company has obtained a new authorization since September 2024, according to le Figaro. Indeed, and in addition to ensuring the connection to Lyon from Paris (and to Paris from Lyon) for several years, it will now be able to stop its trains in Marseille station.
After Lyonthe second most populous city in France, it is now in Marseille that the Trenitalia company is attacking, from June 15, 2025. From this date, you will therefore be able to board the Frecciarossathese famous red trains characteristic of the Italian company, with no less than four daily round trips on the Paris-Marseille line.
For the moment, the trains are not open for reservation and the price of tickets has not been communicated: be sure to consult the Trenitalia company website to be informed when reservations open!
