Are you wondering where to enjoy the best almond pancakes in Greater Paris in 2025? On December 6, the Union of Bakers of Greater Paris delivered its prize list. So who wins first prize? The best almond pancake in the Ile-de-France region can be found this year in the 14th arrondissement of Paris!
Every year, the Greater Paris Bakers Union awards a prix which arouses much desire; this is the trophy for the best almond pancake of the year.
So, who won the 37th edition of this competition? THE 1st prize for the best almond galette des rois 2025 in Grand Paris was assigned to The Gourmet Factory. This famous gourmet house is located in the 14th arrondissement of the capital. The award-winning almond galette from La Fabrique aux gourmandises was made by Lionel Bonnamy. A great victory for this artisan baker who had already won the coveted title in 2021!
Just behind, we find Sébastien Mauvieux of the House Mauvieuxin the 18th arrondissement in Paris. Finally, Elio Chaya of the Blue Bakeryin Rueil-Malmaison in Hauts-de-Seine, took the third step of the podium.
In total, 165 almond pancakes, made by artisans from Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne, were tasted on December 4 by a jury made up of 70 professionals and gourmets. In particular, the cooking, the decoration, the lamination and even the cut resistance were judged. Of the 10 candidates rewarded during the awards ceremony, 5 Parisian bakeries and pastries appear in this 2025 ranking!
