Some students of Saint-Just private school groupin Arbois, did a funny activity in Spanish class: writing a letter to the king of SpainFelipe VI. This project was carried out by Fernanda BalsalobrewSpanish teacher at the establishment for two years.
“It’s something that I had already done when I was a professor at Morteau, and we had an answer ! My students from Arbois were willing to try too,” she tells Voice of Jura. In total, 29 lettres of students of 5e4e et 3e were sent.
An educational exercise
This sending was above all a “real educational exercise » for the students. Fernanda Balsalobrew explains: “We learned to write a letterthe old way, because today they master digital more easily. Then it also enriches their vocabularybecause they used a very advanced one, with unusual polite expressions. We do not speak to the king as we speak to our friend. »
The students also had to use their creativitybecause each of them was able decorate the letter in your own way . “They had a lot of fun. We had a week to do it because I had finished my unit, so we took the time to do things right,” confides the professor.
The outcome of the courses
If the layout and heading are the same for everyone, no letter says the same thing. “They all introduced themselves, each writing was personalized. Afterwards, everyone sent his wishes to the king“, she presents.
This work is also a project that brings together all the skills acquired during lessons. Fernanda Balsalobrew details: “With the 5ewe saw the vocabulary of the family, the king and Noël. With the 4ewe were on the songs and the dynamics of Christmas. Then with the 3eit was rather written comprehension. In any case, this work was the culmination of all that had been learnedsince the start of the year. » It remains to be seen whether Felipe VI will respond… One thing is certain: everyone hopes so.
