The time has come for major mobilization in the DGSN-DGST cluster, in preparation for the New Year celebrations, underlines Assaba of this Tuesday, December 31, specifying that the police headquarters of the different regions of the Kingdom held briefings aimed at implementing the directives emanating from the General Directorate of National Security.
Objective: anticipate future events and guarantee the safety of citizens and property, as well as organize road traffic.
A specific system has thus been adopted, so that the celebrations take place in the best conditions and that possible excesses are contained.
The security strategy is based on prevention and deterrence.
This is how the police will be visible in the main arteries of cities, and on major roads.
Security barriers and mobile units, including bikers, will also be deployed.
In Casablanca, indicates the daily, this will involve intensifying the presence of security elements, the establishment of checkpoints, and the deployment of mobile patrols, among others.
A battery of precautions is therefore taken to deal with any risk of disturbance to public order, especially in places of large gatherings, just like in Marrakech.
These preventive and proactive measures aim to ensure a spatial security grid of the city, to preserve public order, to guarantee the safety and security of citizens, to ensure the fluidity of road traffic, and to better secure these end-of-year celebrations in this essential capital of world tourism, which positions itself, on such occasions, as the preferred destination for national and foreign tourists, but also for the global Jet-set.
The objective of setting up such a system is also to interact with citizens’ calls via command and coordination posts, given the importance of efficient and firm intervention, within the framework of the respect for the laws.
