The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region recorded the creation of 7,912 companies during the first nine months of 2024, according to data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC). Among them, 5,926 are legal entities and 1,986 are natural persons. The city of Rabat dominates with 2,490 new businesses, followed by Kénitra (1,842), Témara (1,609) and Salé (903).
The commerce sector comes first with 32.76% of creations, followed by services (20.93%), construction work and real estate activities (20.45%) and transport (7.61%). The hotel and catering sectors as well as industry occupy 5.71% and 5.17% of the shares respectively.
In terms of legal form, single-member SARLs represent 65.6% of new entities, followed by classic SARLs (33.7%). Nationally, the total number of businesses created amounts to 68,263 at the end of September 2024, with a predominance in the Casablanca-Settat region (21,263), followed by Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (9,761) and Rabat. -Salé-Kénitra (7,912).
These figures demonstrate the entrepreneurial dynamism in Morocco, with a notable concentration in the country’s major economic regions, thus strengthening the local and national economic fabric.
