Initial preparations for the ambitious project to develop the Place du 16-Novembre, located in the Guéliz district of Marrakech, have begun. This project also provides for the construction of the very first collective and multi-level underground car park in the ocher city.

The future parking lot will be set up under the Place du 16 November, in an area delimited by Avenue Hassan II, the Oued El Makhazine alley and the El Harti garden. This site will cover an area of ​​approximately 12,000 m² and will have a capacity of 450 vehicles.

According to the information relayed by the specialized page Projects and construction sites in Moroccodedicated to monitoring major projects in the country, this project will be carried out with a budget estimated at 100 million dirhams. The duration of the work was set at 12 months.

The local development company Marrakech Mobility, responsible for delegated supervision of this project, recently launched a public call for tenders with a view to carrying out a preliminary study for the establishment of this underground car park.

This project marks an important step in improving urban mobility and parking infrastructure in the city of Marrakech, thus meeting the growing needs of its residents and visitors and the requirements of future events that the city will host.
