It was around 8:25 p.m., this Friday, December 27, 2024, when a violent clash with still uncertain contours took place in a bus of line 12 which connects Guilers and Brest, at avenue Victor -Le Gorgeu, in Brest. The brawl broke out after the bus was crushed – according to witnesses, a window was broken. Law enforcement and emergency services – a Smur (mobile emergency and resuscitation structure) and three rescue and victim assistance vehicles (VSAV) – quickly went to the scene.
Panic movement
“I was with my headphones on, the bus stopped. There was a panic, the driver opened the doors and everyone started running,” says a witness to the scene. According to our information, two rival gangs, one of which was present on the bus, decided to fight and started the clash.
Three teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were injured during this brawl. According to emergency services, the first received a blow to the head from a crowbar. Unconscious, he was transported in serious condition to Cavale-Blanche hospital, just like the second, hit by a stab wound to the lower back, and a third, more slightly injured.
According to our information, all Bibus lines are diverted this Friday evening until the end of the service. The driver of the subcontractor is fine and was heard by the national police, who are traveling nearby, in the Bellevue district. The resumption of traffic will take place on Saturday, under the supervision of the police. At the time of writing, it is not yet certain whether buses will run in the Bellevue area in the evening.
