The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) will work to continue, in 2025, the capitalization of the achievements made in the modernization of infrastructures and police services, so as to meet the expectations of citizens of a public service police.

The DGSN also intends to strengthen and promote international security cooperation, through sharing its experience in the field of combating terrorism and organized crime with friendly and partner countries, as well as with the various international organizations dedicated to the work of police, indicates the DGSN in its 2024 annual report, cited by the MAP agency.

At the head of the structuring projects that the DGSN plans to implement during next year, and which are currently in their final stages of implementation, is the central headquarters of the DGSN in Rabat, a structure which will bring together all the Directorates and services within an integrated space taking into account the rationalization of human and financial resources intended for the management of the various services of the DGSN at central level.

Among the projects whose inauguration is also scheduled for next year, is the Higher Police Training Center in the city of Ifrane, which will serve as a higher training institute for the benefit of Moroccan security executives and their colleagues from of the African continent.

Built as a regional and international training center, this future Center will host training cycles and workshops organized by international partners, for the benefit of African and Moroccan police and security executives. In order to modernize the qualification process of police human resources, the Royal Police Institute plans to set up, over the next year, a national database for basic, specialized and continuing training programs of the police.

This is an interactive digital library (E-training), accessible and usable from all police training schools and National Security headquarters, with the aim of connecting this IT platform to those dedicated to international training programs implemented put in place by the DGSN for the benefit of National Security personnel. As part of the continued process of upgrading scientific and technical police services, the DGSN plans to create six regional scientific and technical police laboratories at the police prefectures of Marrakech, Oujda, Fez, Agadir and Rabat, as well as six regional laboratories for analyzing digital traces in the police prefectures of Oujda, Agadir, Tangier, Meknes, Kénitra and Beni Mellal. These laboratories will be equipped with all the technological means and human resources necessary for the analysis of digital evidence and their use in judicial investigations. Concerning security preparations for the organization of major sporting events, such as the 2025 African Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, the DGSN plans to launch a series of projects and programs for professional qualification and development. at the level of structures, including full support for the “Stadia” project, supervised by the International Criminal Police Organization “Interpol”, which aims to share experiences and consolidate achievements in the field of capacity building of security services. police in relation to the organization of major sporting events. One of the structuring projects which also occurs within the framework of preparations for the organization of major sporting events, is the continued upgrading of sports security services by providing them with logistical and operational means, and qualified human resources. .

It also involves the creation of new brigades and services, notably the dog police brigades in the cities of Agadir, Rabat, Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech and Tangier, which will have to host 2030 World Cup matches.

A new police training school will also be opened in the city of Marrakech, on January 11, 2025, on the occasion of the anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, in accordance with the strategy adopted by the DGSN aimed at promoting police training centers, to increase their reception capacity and to develop training techniques and programs, in addition to bringing them closer to trainees. In terms of the digitalization of National Security services and their connection to integrated security databases, the year 2025 will be that of the transition to an advanced level in terms of digitalization of command and coordination rooms and their connection IT for patrols and active intervention units on public roads, particularly as part of the experience of intelligent patrols (connected vehicles), as well as the exploitation of artificial intelligence programs in the field of road traffic and this, with a view to the implementation by the DGSN, in the coming years, of the smart and safe cities system.

Still in connection with support for local structures, the National Security services are planning the construction of new police headquarters adapted to the expectations of citizens, including the construction of the headquarters of the Agadir Police Prefectures and the Central Station of Command and coordination of the same city, as well as that of the new headquarters of the Provincial District of Khénifra, and one of the District Police Station in Jorf El Melha.

There will also be discussion of the continuation of the process of strengthening police structures through means of transport and logistics equipped with a new visual identity and equipped with the latest communication and intervention technologies.

In addition, the social services of the National Security are working on the finalization of studies relating to the implementation of construction projects for two summering centers in Harhoura and Moulay Bousselham for the benefit of the National Security family, in perspective of their construction. The examination of the contractualization project relating to a new insurance program against work accidents for the benefit of police officers will be initiated, so as to guarantee them complete coverage of hospitalization costs, in the event that they become victims of work accidents during the exercise of their citizen protection functions.

In terms of security communication, the DGSN plans to organize next year, the sixth edition of the National Security Open Days in the city of El Jadida, in parallel with the commemoration of the 69th anniversary of the creation of Security National and this, as part of its communication approach with all citizens in the different regions of the Kingdom.
