He was going to a Christmas lunch. A 24-year-old young man lost his life on Wednesday December 25, 2024 at the end of the morning, while he was driving in the town of Veyrac (Haute-Vienne), a few kilometers from Limoges, reports France Bleu Limousin.
The young motorist was driving on a secondary road when he probably lost control of his vehicle and left the road, hitting a wall. Alerted, the firefighters intervened and extricated the victim, who was in cardiac arrest upon their arrival, specifies The People of the Center.
An ongoing investigation
A Smur medical team then took charge of the young man and transported him urgently to Limoges University Hospital. Unfortunately, the victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries a few hours later in hospital. An investigation has been opened.
According to initial information, the young man was joining friends to share a Christmas lunch with them. He lived in Toulouse but stayed with his father in Veyrac for the holidays. This is the very first fatal road accident recorded in the town.
