The town of Brandivy now has a associative grocery store. This was inaugurated at the very end of 2024.

It is the association Le Loch’allcreated last October, after several months of work carried out by volunteers, who will manage this grocery store. The renovated premises have been operational since last November. The association is represented by collegial governance.

Convention

Following the signing of this partnership, the municipality undertakes to allow the association to use a local communalfor all of its market and non-market activities. The signed lease allows us to offer, free of charge, the premises which consist of a room with a surface area of ​​35 m² located to the left of the building, dedicated entirely to the association. The room with a surface area of ​​45 m² located to the right of the building may be used occasionally by the association, subject to its availability. The right room is reserved for local associations.

This organization will be done while waiting for the renovation of the Ramier house to be completed. This house, once the work is completed, will be made available to Brandivian associations.

The grocery store is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2025.

Social cohesion

The aim of this associative grocery store is to allow revitalization of the town and to promote the social cohesion of the municipality through activities of animation and solidarity. To bring together the community’s active forces and establish extra-municipal partnerships around food, local production and citizen initiatives.

“This grocery store will make quality food accessible to its members, by supporting organic and local production and distributing products at reduced prices. »

A quarterly meeting will be organized with an elected representative of the grocery partnership, in order to discuss all current needs, check the good conduct of the partnership and develop future projects together.

When this grocery store opened, around forty people signed up and will join the volunteers of the project. “We all have a role to play in this grocery store, don’t hesitate to make yourself available,” says Mayor Guillaume Grannec.
