Yoann Gillet, National Rally deputy for Gard, was the political guest on the Franceinfo morning show this December 26 in the morning.
In Beaucaire, in Gard, the mayor decided to set up a crèche in front of the town hall. The administrative court asked him to withdraw it, but he refuses to do so. “We must not give in to those who want to erase our identity. Justice speaks differently depending on where it is located,” believes Yoann Gillet, who mentions the crèches in Perpignan and Béziers located in town halls and which have been authorized.
Is the guest encouraging the mayor not to respect a court decision? “The law is respected, the law says that the crèche has the right to be in a town hall provided that it is cultural, artistic and festive”. According to him, the Human Rights League wants to erase traditions and identity. “The Beaucairois are very favorable to this crèche, whatever their religion”defends the deputy.
