A couple from Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague helps bring wonder to the Holidays with light trails set up on 60,000 square feet of land. A real game started three years ago for the pleasure of young and old.
“The idea of our Christmas light trail is that the naughty elves will accompany you in the enchantment of the Holidays,” suggests Stéphane Désautels. The elves have bewitched the stars that have fallen among us. We need the help of children who must complete some tests to free the stars again to the great joy of Santa's reins.
Both love the festivities surrounding Christmas and the transmission of traditions that goes with it.
Not only do the decorations and lights provide magic in this special time, but a game, a mission, allows children to participate in this magic.
For three years now, Stéphane Désautels, his partner Isabelle and their families have participated in setting up the trails and providing entertainment. People can cross these enchanting trails installed at 34, Rang du 40 in Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, on December 27 and 28. Access is free.

Christmas and more
If the site celebrates Christmas in December, it lends itself to all other festivities and decorations over the years. “The idea came to light up our lives, our land, during COVID with rainbow things and everything,” explains Mr. Désautels. For example, at Easter in Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, we also organize the coconut hunt in which 225 children now participate.”
The trails are still accessible on December 27 and 28 from 4:30 p.m. (Photo: courtesy)
