Two floorball players from Montbazon selected for the French team

Following the selection which took place in (), two young girls from the Salamandres de Montbazon floorball club (1) were selected for the French U19 team. It was Miguel Peru, vice-president of the Salamandres and coach who spotted the two athletes and suggested they be sent to the selection.

Anne-Louise Brion, from Montbazon, and Anaïs Moinard, from Veigné, have been practicing this sport for three years. Anne-Louise, is a high school student at the Grandmont high school, and is aiming to study law, Anaïs is at the Jean-Monnet high school and will be moving towards medical studies, with the aim of becoming a pediatrician.

Together, they admit that« it is impressive to be selected to be in the French team, it brings a certain pride, as well as a great experience to be had”.

Intensive courses and training

They will follow intensive training, training courses with the French team and experience exceptional moments, with a view to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Both, aged fifteen, have just joined the Salamandre Développement association, chaired by Éric Rival. This association aims to help and support young people with the purchase of equipment, for their accommodation as well as for their travel in and abroad.

Sponsors sought

In February, the two Tourangelles will be in preparation training, with all the selected players and the Bleuets staff. They will work on ball possession, teamwork, muscle awakening, with the implementation of new tactical choices from the staff.

Next April, they will leave for Euro Power which will take place in Innsbruck, Austria, for international meetings.

In order to be able to support these young people in the making, Éric Rival and his association are looking for partners, local businesses, who will wish to associate their image, their encouragement and will support this great adventure.
