As part of its rehabilitation project, the Hôtel-Dieu is launching the marketing of five spaces to host gastronomic, cultural or event projects. “An exceptional opportunity to leave their mark in a place that will redefine the center of Rennes”encourages the Vicartem hotel group, owner of the walls.

The Hôtel-Dieu stands like “a historic and emblematic jewel” from Rennes. Halfway between the city center and the Saint-Martin meadows, this former hospital built in 1858 is a place steeped in history. The urban renewal project aims to create a new living space, with shops, hostel (You Are Rennes), coworking (Now Coworking), urban leisure and micro-brewery (The Roof Origines).
“An exceptional and atypical place”
The call for projects covers several spaces. Three catering cells with covered and outdoor terraces “for innovative and differentiating culinary concepts”. The chapel, “an exceptional and atypical place, to be reinvented to host unique cultural or event projects open to all”. Also a business “with an activity aligned with the spirit of the place”.
The opening is planned for 2026. The offer must be open to all audiences and all budgets, with opening six days a week and continuously, at least from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
