Appointed this Monday, December 23 as Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin declared this Wednesday, December 25, while he was visiting the Amiens court in the Somme, that he would go to Marseille “from the week next”.

“We will resume, with the Minister of the Interior, very quickly, discussions around the bill to fight against drug banditry.“, indicated the former mayor of Tourcoing who found a ministerial portfolio after three months of absence from government and two years in Beauvau.
The fight against drug trafficking will be “first of the goals of the Ministry of Justice in its penal policy”underlined the new Minister of Justice.
When he was Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin came to Marseille on numerous occasions, notably last March to take stock of the operation at La Castellane, but also, at the beginning of August, during the Olympic Games.
He has regularly declared that the fight against drug trafficking and narco-banditry was one of his priority objectives.
