Created in 1998, the welcome evening has become a flagship event which demonstrates the particular attention paid by La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomération, the City of La Roche-sur-Yon, Oryon and their partners to the creators and buyers of companies that choose the territory to realize their project.
These entrepreneurs thus become key players in local development.
The objective of this evening is simple: to welcome them, inform them about their new environment, facilitate their first contacts, promote the territory and promote the opportunities it offers.
A dynamism driven by micro-enterprises
Despite a slight decline in 2023, the level of business creation in France remains high, with 1,051,500 new businesses. After a period of strong growth between 2016 and 2021, the number of creations now tends to stabilize, with a drop of 1% in 2023 after an increase of 1% the previous year. If the creation of traditional and individual companies has fallen between 6 and 8%, the status of micro-enterprise continues to increase (+3%).
In 2024, this dynamic is confirmed with 934,714 business creations registered, marking an increase of +5.8% compared to 2022.
The micro-enterprise remains the main driver of this dynamic. Indeed, in 2024, they will represent nearly 65% of new business creations in France.
In Vendée, business creation remains in constant evolution. For more than 10 years, the department has demonstrated real economic dynamism: in 2024, 6,696 companies have been registered, i.e.
increase of +2.5% compared to 2022. Among them, micro-enterprises represent 61.8% of new creations.
27 creators honored
During this edition, 27 creators and three business buyers had the opportunity to present themselves to elected officials and local partners.
They were presented with a trophy, a symbol of their commitment to business creation, as well as a discovery box allowing them to explore the events and sports offerings offered in the region.
1,200 new companies in 2024
In 2023, 1,148 new entrepreneurs will settle in the territory of La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomération, and this figure amounts to approximately 1,200 in 2024.
With 15% of creations in the department, La Roche-sur-Yon Agglomération confirms its attractiveness as an area of opportunity for the creation and takeover of businesses. The Entrepreneur 2024 trophy rewards “the initiative and investment of new business leaders who choose to set up here. »
