The company Cyker Holding GMBH, created in 2020 and based in Berlin, and specializing in the reconditioning of electronic devices, has announced its future move to the south of . The company will settle in at the beginning of 2025, first within the company hotel of the BAD (for Montpellier International Business Incubator) before taking off. The company wants to build its new industrial site within the Eureka district in Castelnau-le-Lez, near the Millénaire.

160 jobs in three years

“Over a three-year horizon, the technocentre Cykero France should enable the creation of 160 jobs,” specifies the Métropole de Montpellier. A 4.0 Technocenter

In 2023, the sale of smartphones alone will exceed two billion euros with an increase of +15%. To answer to the growing needs of the marketthe German company has therefore chosen to develop in the south of France to continue to benefit from exponential growth: €12.5 million in turnover last year and a forecast of €27 million in 2024. Montpellier will therefore ultimately welcome the Technocentre 4.0 of Cykero, whose head office, currently located in Maisons-Laffitte in the region, will be transferred to Montpellier in the spring.

Initially, the German group's teams will set up within the MIBI “in order to better supervise the construction of the future Cykero industrial site”, indicates the Metropolis which specifies that this Technocentre 4.0 “will make it possible to process large volumes in order to meet the massive needs of major accounts… With the ambition of establishing itself as a leading European player in the reconditioning of electronic devices.

“Very high level of quality”

According to the community, Cykero is committed to building a cutting-edge technocenter combining innovation, sustainability and technological sovereignty. “The company aims total repair of smartphone components, thus ensuring a very high level of quality with an after-sales service return rate of less than 2% compared to an average of 15% for consumer reconditioned devices,” adds the Metropolis.
