At the head of theUnited Protestant Church of France (EPUdF) Valenciennes and Amandinois and its two presbyteral councils, the new pastor Valérie Mitrani was officially installed on November 3, 2024. She will be the guest of the “Christian perspective on current affairs” cycle on Thursday January 9, 2025 in Raismes.
Rather rare: around a hundred people gathered in the Valenciennes temple at 66 rue de Paris. On the menu of the “cult of recognition”: the welcome of Valérie Mitrani, 63, and the installation of each priestly council.
Myriam and Guy-Claude welcome the ecumenical assembly, Pastor Olivier Filhol giving his apostolic greeting in his capacity as president for the North-Normandy region: “Today, we group, we pool, in the wealth of gifts. Brothers and sisters, friends, grace and peace be with you.”
Change your life to change your life
Valérie sings with Eulalie, Sami and Gustave, young catechumens. The time comes for Pastor Filhol's preaching: “Let us participate, my friends, in this momentum of life which carries us towards every woman, every man, we who want the best for the world and for God… on the thread of our communion ( Catholics, Evangelists, Reformed, Lutherans), let's grab the hand of the one who says to us come and follow me, let's get up, let's go, there, immediately! »
Responsibility spiritual and material fraternity
The members of the Valencian and Amandin priests' councils were invited to surround Valérie Mitrani, under the imposing wooden cross before opening the liturgy of the Holy Supper.
Songs, offerings, Our Father concluded the highlight with upcoming news: knitting day, changing room, Bible and Culture groups, Bible and ecumenism, ACAT. In the courtyard, the friendly drink allowed us to get to know each other better…

Welcome everyone
In 2015, head to Vosges then took up effective office in Valenciennes on August 19 where she succeeded Pastor Frédéric Verspeeten, who died in 2021. “I am happy to get to know people, I would like the community to remain open to people, whatever their spiritual journey. May everyone be welcomed as they are,” confided Madam the pastor to the local press.
In a cheerful tone, his November 2020 clip on YouTube has not aged a bit. In summary: “Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles… Jonas, the most beautiful sign of the resurrection… evangelizing is sharing what we have received… Calvin is my family of origin, Luther that of conviction… The Advent? We know who we’re waiting for…”.
